MANILA - Dual shifting and staggered work hours for construction and digital tools for sales will be the new normal for real estate firm Filinvest Development Corp, its president and CEO said Wednesday.

The new work hours will be implemented in general community quarantine or GCQ areas to protect workers from COVID-19, Filinvest President and CEO Josephine Gotianun-Yap told ANC.

Property sales will rely heavily on digital, with more budget allocated to online marketing tools such as 360 viewing and drone market inspections, she said.

"One of the main things is really to put in a testing protocol, to avoid spread in the workplace," Gotianun-Yap said.

"For Filinvest, we continue to have communication with our customers, through our work from home service desk and online buyers and sellers kiosks in addition to that, most important is property management," she said.

Filinvest's retail and banking businesses also adhered to the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act by providing rental relief and grace periods for loans, she said.

The company expects consumers to "overcome fear" of the disease and resume spending, she said.
